Discussion:
Wi-Fi "Access-Point like" behaviour with WinCE 6?

From what I understand native wi-fi has abandoned in CE 6, and with
that the possibility to easilly create a simple wi-fi Access Point.

So, we would like to create an "access point" like behaviour with the
current wi-fi architecture in CE6. We don't need a true Access Point,
rather, we simply need to connect our devices in a "one to many"
configuration (one node should be simultaneously connected two or more
other nodes). Ideally, we'd want to be able to relay data from one
node to another by using a third one as "middle man".

Now, is that "impossible", "extremely difficult", "a lot of job", "can
be done with a couple weeks programming and correct image
configuration", "should be able to achieve just by selecting and
configuring the right components"?

As I said, it dosn't have to be a true Access Point, we're struggling
to figure out how hard it is to to set up "our own" ad-hoc based
"relaying network".

I guess what I really ask is if "internet sharing" or such can be used
to easilly connect two devices through a third one if they all use
windows ce but only have one wi-fi module each.

thx

Hi,

Did you ever find an answer to this as we are trying to do something similar?

Cheers,

Matt
